Xpectre History

In 2010, Xpectre started with the vision of Carlton Rae to design a functional bow that can be used in any situation, yet small enough to carry anywhere. As an avid archer from a young age and with a background in mechanical engineering, he came up with the Spectre II, modeled after the long bow and the old bear take down bow. It did not take long for the Nomad to come to mind. Living in a biker community and owning a couple choppers, he wanted a bow that could easily fit into saddle bags. At 17 inches, the Nomad does just that. His latest creation came in the form of the Rapture. Of course we all are waiting for his next design! In 2016 Xpectre changed hands to Carlton's daughter, Victoria, after learning the ropes for several years. Victoria grew up around archery and the outdoors. She is an avid survivalist, teaching her children all about the almost lost ways. The entire family has a hand in the production of these amazing bows and other bushcraft products! We hope you enjoy using them as much as we enjoy making them!
